Rain or Shine!

Sister Speak’s moving live show and unique musical pallet has afforded opening slots for Xavier RuddChris Isaak and Air Supply and performances at premier showcases and concert halls throughout North America. Led by Canadian singer-songwriter Sherri Anne and backed by various talented musicians, Sister Speak is currently based in San Diego, California and performs over 150 concerts a year in North America. Through compelling vocals, rootsy yet gritty guitar stylings, and thought-provoking lyrics, Sister Speak has connected deeply with a diverse crowd of fans from around the globe.

In their first deep and rhythmic song cycle, Rise Up For Love, Sister Speak authentically convey the raw vulnerability of universal principles and the transformative power of love through their pensive blend of acoustic, blues and world pop. Prior to recording an injury brought Sherri Anne back to her Canadian homeland where she rest in recovery for two months – it was at that trying time, in moments of extreme vulnerability, that most of the songs from Sister Speak’s debut ‘Rise Up For Love’ album came through. The record was tracked in top of the line analog capability with Grammy Award winning engineer Alan Sanderson(Fiona Apple, Fleetwood Mac) at the helm. Sanderson worked intimately with the band, keeping the emotional content intact while showcasing the bands unique musical ‘vortex’. Mastering engineer Brian Lucey(Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys) added a magical finishing touch to this genuinely crafted album.

Since its release, the record has aired and been in rotation on radio throughout the USA, Canada and Europe – mainly CBC radio Canada and BBC with lead singles ‘Chicago Dream’ & ‘Lady Love.’
