Okanagan writers Hannah Calder and jaz papadopoulos read from their respective works at the next Valley Voices reading: Gender, Rebellion & Rising, taking place at the Caetani Centre Gallery on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 pm.

Calder will launch her third novel, Hester in Sunlight, which is loosely based on Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter and explores what it means to be a woman and mother, then and now. 

papadopoulos will read from their new collection of poetry, I Feel That Way Too, which critically engages the impacts of the #MeTo movement, exposing media and social power. 

Doors to the event open at 6:30 pm. Admission is free. Books and refreshments will be available to purchase.
