Educational Tours & Field Trips

Available from September to June!

We invite your students and young people  to explore the mystery and intrigue of this 125+ year-old heritage house with a fascinating history.

Our namesake, Sveva Caetani, was a beloved teacher and mentor to many students in her time teaching, both at St. James Elementary in Vernon, BC, and at Charles Bloom Secondary in Lumby, BC. Her students still return to the house with fond tales. We think that Sveva would be delighted to have your students learn about part of her story, as well.

Our field trip program connects students to curricular competencies in Social Studies, Arts Education, English Language Arts, as well as other related disciplinary curricular connections.

Students will have the opportunity to hear an intriguing story that includes local Vernon history, international geopolitics, mental health, the importance of culture and community, and more in a fun and interactive way. A guided tour, and activities such as a scavenger hunt and art project can be included in the field trip.
