Rarely Seen Works by Sveva Caetani on Display at the Vernon Museum

Until May 17th, 5 pieces of original art by Sveva Caetani will be on display at the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives. These rarely seen artworks have been held in private collections and were recently donated to the Caetani Cultural Centre.Additionally, UK Artist Rebecca Key's installation based on the Caetani artifacts and story will remain held over until May 17th in the back lobby area of the museum. Rebecca’s investigation focuses on the 25 year period of Sveva’s life where she was kept a virtual prisoner in her own home by her mother Ofelia, using archival objects and new visual metaphors to illustrate the relationship between this mother and daughter, and the dynamic similitude of love and control, isolation and suffocation...Read More...We strongly encourage the community to visit the museum and check out these two exhibits. When: Now until May 17th, 2016Where: Greater Vernon Museum & Archives
