February 22: Mandala Workshop with Ela Mukherjee

Creating Mandala: a transformative practice

Join our Caetani & Vernon Community Art Centre's CeramAiR Artist-in-Residence Ela Mukherjee for a full day mandala workshop.Making Mandala is a way of creativity, expression and meditation. One does not have to be an artist to create a mandala of one’s own.The workshop will involve a journey to know about this form of art from the Indian subcontinent, to learn the simple way of making it on paper and finally to translate it on a larger scale on the floor to celebrate life in all its glory.Bring: drawing paper or a sketch book, pencil and eraser. Also bring compass, ruler, protractor (basically a basic geometry set) as well as coloured pen or pencil set.
