Dilan Qadir
Writer-in-Residence, October 2022
My name is Dilan Qadir and I write poetry, fiction, and essays. My poems have appeared in The Underground Literary Journal, The Lonely Whale Memoir Anthology, Wax Poetry and Art Magazine, and Culture Project. My essays have appeared mostly in Kurdish, both in print and online. While in residence, I am revising a draft of a novel that I have been working on for the past three years. The story is mainly about four adopted siblings and what happens to them when a war further disrupts the dynamics of their relationships.I am a Kurdish Canadian, born and raised in a small town in northern Iraq, and I currently work and live in Vancouver, BC. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, Boston, MA. https://cultureproject.org.uk/lines-in-the-land/
