Make a Magic Bag with Sal of Furhouse Textiles Workshop
Join Sal of Furhouse Textiles Workshop to learn how to make a dose of cozy for yourself or a loved one!
We will choose fabric to create a magic bag, which we will fill with magic, sewing as we go.
This program is designed for all ages / abilities, with age groups defined to give the participants as much support and flow as possible. No sewing experience is required.
We will use sewing machines for this simple project. Sal & helpers will assist with machines and can assess the level of support needed. Please inform us if the participant has specific needs so that we may ensure they have the best experience possible!
All equipment and supplies are provided.
Allergy Warning: We will have a wheat alternative option for magic bag filling. However, wheat will be present throughout the workshop as one of the supplies. Participants with any wheat allergies are asked to use caution.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Salinger Snarf (they/them) of Furhouse Textiles Workshop is a multimedia artist with a focus on textiles programs in the community. Sal’s colourful programs feature inclusive opportunities for creative skill building and self exploration through hands-on activities.
Workshop details:
All workshops take place at Caetani Cultural Centre in the Sveva Caetani Gallery, 3401 Pleasant Valley Rd. Vernon BC.
- Sunday Dec 17: 10am - 12pm for ages 8-12 (Max 6 participants) Cost: $25/participant
- Sunday Dec 17: 1pm - 3pm for ages 12-18 (Max 6 participants) Cost: $30/particpants
