Help us reopen the Caetani Centre

Volunteers Needed for Reopening of Caetani Cultural Centre

The Caetani Cultural Centre has been closed since Christmas for an accessibility renovation and is about to open its doors for a new season of programs and events.

Thanks to the grant from the Canadian Cultural Spaces Fund (CCSF), and the hard work from the crew at Copper Fox construction, we now have a new entrance/gift shop area, bathroom, and a built-in ramp to our screening room and main salon in the museum/main floor area.

However, we are not done yet, as we currently have a crew working on the outside to make the side entrance to the house accessible.

To get ready for our openings and summer season, we have several volunteer positions that need filling:

Love to rake and plant? Our Resident Caretaker is looking for volunteers for our Gardens and Grounds Crew. If you can dig out a weed, and love planting and general garden maintenance, we have plenty of jobs that need doing on our 1.3-acre property. All interested volunteers can email caretaker@caetani.org for scheduling and tasks.

Upon our Grand Re-opening in June, we will once again be offering guided tours throughout the summer. If you are interested in history, have interpersonal skills, and love a good story, why not help us out as a docent? This includes accompanying the lead guides to show visitors around the museum and gallery, answering questions and making our visitors feel welcome. Training will begin in mid-May. Please contact programs@caetani.org or fill out our volunteer contact form if you are interested:

We have some exciting events coming up this summer, including our Grand Reopening Reception on June 11, our two-day Summer Music Festival July 19 and 20, our new Golf Tournament in September, plus more. We can always use extra hands for serving (Serving it Right required), plus helping with gate admission, security, and more. You can let us know if you are available and interested in helping at any of our events you can contact programs@caetani.org or fill out our volunteer contact form.

As a non-profit arts, cultural and heritage centre, we could not do any of our programming, events and upkeep without your support. We thank you in advance and hope to thank you in person soon
